My Review:
This book is definitely a tear jerker! I love how quick of a read this was. It didn’t feel drawn out, which is something that I appreciate with a more emotional book. I struggled a little bit with Emma’s opinion on the whole situation. While she came around by the end, it was not my favorite part of the storyline.
I liked watching how Emma and Dan figured out how to be stepdad and stepdaughter now that her mom was gone. They relationship was hard, but I liked how the author showed their raw conversations when they started to work things out.
The romance in the book is definitely not the main part of the storyline, but it was very sweet none the less. I loved how it was unexpected for the two of them to be together, but they made it work and supported each other.
