My Review:
This is a really cute young adult book that involves fake dating. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes, so I was excited for this one. While this book was adorable, I definitely wanted more in the “fake” dating aspect. They seemed to develop real feelings for each other really quickly.
I enjoyed the family aspects that both of them were dealing with, and how they learned to forgive. I also loved each oof their relationships with their mom. They were both very sweet.
One problem I had with the book was that they slept together as soon as they told each other they loved each other. I just felt this was unnecessary in a book where they are still in high school and she had just had her first kiss not that long ago. I didn’t feel like them sleeping together added anything to the story, and I would have preferred that it not be in the story at all.
