My Review:
I absolutely loved The Selection, and have been patiently (or not-so-patiently) waiting for The Elite. Once I got it, I started reading right away. It left off right where the last book did, and I easily jumped back into this world that I has missed. I know there is a lot of controversy over this series, but I loved The Elite and did not want to put it down.
This love triangle is driving me crazy!! I just wanted to scream at American through a lot of the book. You need to be with Maxon!!! Why are you interested in both of them? Is it even a contest when you have Maxon? I just don’t get it. I want to be a part of The Selection just to spend a day with Maxon.
One big thing that I loved about this book is that we get to know the other characters much better. There are only six girls left, so we really see them a lot. It is fun to read about each of the girls’ personalities. We also get to know America’s family, her maids, and the king and queen on a deeper level. I loved how Kiera slowly revealed more and more layers of all of the characters. It was really cool, and I feel like I have a better idea of the story now. The only thing that I am frustrated about is that this book still has no end in sight. I am dying for the next book. All it really did was prolong the suspense.
