Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Goodreads summary:
The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate percentage of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance between her and the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

My review:
I requested this book for netgalley without reading the summary. I had just seen that a lot of people really loved this book, so I thought I should read it. Well, this normally is not the type of book I would enjoy. There was violence, sex scenes, cussing, all of which I do not appreciate in a book. However, this book was so good that it made all of that worth it. I probably would not let a young teen read this book, but it’s great for older people I think.

The love Travis had for Abby was almost mind-blowing. They went through so much and their fights were like all out wars. There love surpassed it all though. They would not give up on each other. Travis changed his lifestyle completely just for Abby. That was sweet to see. It was kind of annoying how they loved each other one second, and hated each other the next. However, I think it was perfect for the story. They were both such passionate people that they fought or loved with that same passion.

This book had me completely absorbed after the first chapter. I would definitely recommend it.
