My review:
When I started reading this book, I expected it to be a Christian book. While it was, it was mainly about the Shakers faith and way of life. That was not necessarily a bad thing though. While I was not expecting it, nor do I agree with the Shaker beliefs, it was an interesting read. It started off slow, because the author had to explain the Shaker way of life to us. Once you got into the book though, it was a good read. I really enjoyed seeing her relationship with Tristan develop. It was also interesting to watch her struggle with her two different worlds.
